After gaining international publicity thanks to the Innovation prize, MIWA has appeared in various media, including Sky News.

We were contacted by the British TV channel Sky News in January wanting to include us in a series of reports for the 1st anniversary of the Sky Ocean Rescue campaign. This initiative is part of the company's responsibility efforts and aims to shine a spotlight on plastics in the ocean. At first glance, it may seem that ocean plastics don’t have much to do with the Czech Republic, but this is false. Most plastic trash gets into the seas from the mainland via wind, rivers or drainage networks. MIWA's ultimate goal is to significantly reduce packaging waste, which makes up a significant part of the waste in oceans. If our solution becomes widespread, it will have an impact on the amount of waste from plastic packaging. In the report, MIWA's founder Petr Baca explains the concept and its possible impact. From the office in Prague, the crew moved to VÚTS in Liberec, where the technology is being developed. You can see the full report here:
